ABOUT US

As Christians, we believe every person is created in God’s image. This includes individuals living with physical or intellectual disabilities. People with disabilities are an essential and beloved part of the Body of Christ. Their lives matter. Their needs matter. Their families matter.

Yet the unique challenges within the disability community are often overlooked. Many individuals and families feel overwhelmed or isolated as they navigate a world that can be inaccessible or unwelcoming.

At The Lord Is With Thee, we believe prayer is a powerful place to begin.

Through our weekday Rosary, we stand alongside individuals and families affected by disability—not with pity, but with humility, hope, and a spirit of partnership.

Our prayer is that those experiencing disability will know they are loved, valued, and seen. That their needs are not forgotten. And that they are supported by a community praying for them and with them.

Entrusting these intentions to Mary through the Rosary, we place our confidence in this truth:

The Lord is with thee.

What we do

Every Monday, we gather in prayer at 7PM CST to offer a Rosary for the disability community.

During our daily Rosary we will be praying for:

  • individuals living with disabilities

  • parents and caregivers

  • siblings and families

  • teachers, therapists, and medical professionals

  • churches and communities seeking to become more welcoming

  • the culture at large

Each week we will focus our prayers around a specific area of need affecting those in the disability community as well as the prayer requests we have received.

Ways to participate:

  • Pray the Rosary with us every Monday, live at 7PM CST online.

  • Find a time in your day that works best for you to watch/listen to our live recording and pray with us then.

  • Offer a decade of the Rosary for the disability community on your own time.

  • Include our disability focused prayer intentions of the week in your personal prayers

  • Help us spread the word by sharing about our weekday Rosary with others and inviting them to pray with us.

  • Offer encouragement, support, and welcome to families and individuals you know with disabilities. Help create a culture of belonging in your own communities.

WHY PRAY THE ROSARY?

Prayer is not passive—it is powerful.

Offering a Rosary for individuals and families affected by disability allows anyone to stand beside this important community in a meaningful way.

We pray the Rosary because it is a simple but powerful way to draw closer to Jesus through Mary, while meditating on the core events of the Christian faith and also a way to ask Mary to hear our prayers and intercede.

We love the Rosary because:

1. It keeps you focused on Jesus

Although the prayers repeat, the heart of the Rosary is meditation on the mysteries—the joyful, sorrowful, glorious, and luminous moments of Jesus’ life. Each decade invites you to sit with Christ’s birth, suffering, death, and resurrection, not just think about them.

2. It teaches the Gospel in a way the heart can absorb

The Rosary is often called the Gospel on beads. You walk through the story of salvation slowly, prayerfully, and repeatedly, allowing it to sink deeper than reading alone sometimes can.

3. Mary leads you to Jesus, not away from Him

Catholics believe Mary always points to her Son (“Do whatever He tells you”). Praying the Rosary is asking Mary to help you know, love, and follow Jesus more faithfully—just as she did.

This is why the Rosary is strongly encouraged within the Catholic Church, but all Christians and people of other faiths are welcome to pray the Rosary.

4. Repetition brings peace, not mindlessness

The repeated prayers (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be) calm the mind and body, much like breathing. This creates space for reflection, healing, and listening to God—especially during anxiety, grief, or exhaustion.

5. It is a prayer you can cling to in suffering

Throughout history, people have turned to the Rosary in times of war, illness, poverty, and personal pain. It gives words when you don’t have any and hope when circumstances feel overwhelming.

6. It forms virtue and trust

By meditating on Christ’s humility, obedience, sacrifice, and love, the Rosary slowly shapes how you respond to life. It’s not about instant answers—it’s about transformation over time.

7. It’s accessible to everyone

You don’t need special education, perfect words, or long periods of silence. You can pray it alone, with children, in a car, at a bedside, or in church. One decade or all five—every bit counts.

We pray the Rosary because it helps us stay close to Jesus, find peace, and learn how to love God in everyday life, especially when life is hard.

We hope through our daily offering of the Rosary specifically for the intentions of the individuals and families experiencing disability, that those individuals will know they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

ROSARY PRAYERS

THE APOSTLE’S CREED

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

THE OUR FATHER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

THE HAIL MARY

Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

FATIMA PRAYER

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy.

THE HAIL HOLY QUEEN

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

THE GLORY BE

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
